Phonics and Early Reading
Progression of Skills
Scheme: Read, Write, Inc.
Through the teaching of Phonics, we want our children to become fluent, passionate readers who develop a rich vocabulary enabling them to become articulate speakers and resourceful and entertaining writers.
All children are supported to make progression from their own starting points.
We carefully assess each child half-termly and place them in a group with children at the same stage.
